Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

“Company” = fencing provider. “Client” = hirer. “Equipment” = picket fencing, posts, bases, accessories. “Event Site” = location of hire.

2. Hire Period

Hire starts at delivery/setup and ends at collection/teardown. Additional days charged at the agreed daily rate.

3. Pricing & Payment

Quoted prices exclude VAT unless stated.
Booking confirmed only after deposit of 20%.
Balance due 7 days before event unless agreed otherwise.
Late payment may delay or cancel hire.

4. Delivery, Setup & Collection

Company will deliver, install, and collect at agreed times.
Client must ensure clear access for vehicles and safe working conditions.
Waiting time or aborted delivery is chargeable.

5. Use of Equipment

Equipment must not be moved, altered, or reconfigured by the Client or attendees.
No signage, fixings, or coverings may be attached without permission.
Equipment is for ground-level decorative/event barrier use only.

6. Ground Conditions

Client is responsible for ensuring suitable ground (grass, soil, or approved hardstanding).
Company is not liable for subsidence, soft ground, or uneven surfaces affecting stability.

7. Damage, Loss & Cleaning

Client is liable for any damage, loss, or theft during the hire period.
Repair/replacement charged at full cost.
Excessive dirt, paint, or contamination incurs a cleaning charge.

8. Health & Safety

Client must maintain safe conditions around the fencing and prevent crowd surges or misuse.
Company may refuse installation if conditions are unsafe or breach regulations.

9. Insurance

Client is responsible for event insurance covering public liability and hired-in equipment.
Company carries its own liability insurance but not insurance for client-caused damage.

10. Cancellations

Client cancellations:

  • 30+ days: deposit retained.

  • 7–29 days: 50% of total hire fee.

  • <7 days: 100% of hire fee.
    Company cancellations only for force majeure or unsafe conditions; full refund or reschedule offered.

11. Liability

Company not liable for consequential losses, event cancellations, or delays caused by weather, traffic, strikes, or acts outside its control.
Liability capped at the total hire fee.

12. Force Majeure

No party liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (severe weather, accidents, road closures, etc.).

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
Disputes subject to jurisdiction of English courts.
